tacoma wedding at the pine room
Back in September, I had the honor of photographing Shannon + Norman’s sweet, intimate, family-centric wedding in Tacoma! The primping, getting ready, and first look took place at their beautiful home; and then the lively celebration followed, at The Pine Room — a cute and modern event venue in the heart of 6th Ave. Theirs was a heartwarming ceremony, complete with the cutest flower girl flub (adorable!), and the reception was full of some seriously awesome tunes – and equally awesome dance moves (those little ones dancing — just the best!), and of course some incredibly delicious food.
One of my favorite things about this wedding was how important each of their children had a role in the big day. Shannon + Norman wanted their celebration to be centered around their two families becoming one — not just about their love for each other, but about their devotion and love for their family as a whole. And it was!
Thanks S+N for welcoming me into your celebration!

While this post features a full wedding day, my work has shifted over the years. I now focus exclusively on elopements and free-spirited portrait work — experiences that allow for presence, flexibility, a slower pace, and all the creativity. It’s here where I feel my skills are the most helpful.
These more traditional wedding stories are still a part of my history and my heart, and I keep them here as a reflection of the way I see and document connection. If you’re planning an elopement or are drawn to meaningful, presence-filled imagery, I’d love to hear from you!
