Hanna + Greg aren’t your typical wedding couple, and I dig that about them. They wanted an intimate free-spirited wedding that reflected their personalities: easy going, sweet, and adventurous. Their dreamy Portland elopement shows how much they love to have fun and adventure together.

These two cuties opted for a ceremony nestled by a pond in Rood Bridge Park, with their closest friends and family. The simplicity was perfection. Really, calling it a park doesn’t do it justice because its layout is so unique. It’s right on the edge of town in Hillsboro and has an interesting mix of trails, trees, ponds, and creeks. Some areas are more manicured with a city park feel, but most of it felt like its own magical forest world. 

They gathered with their families around a serene pond for their ceremony. They kept it all sweet & simple. Greg even kept his cool when just after the ceremony, his wedding band flew off and landed in the pond. He jumped into action and found it – crisis averted, haha. 

Hanna looked gorgeous in that open-back dress and succulent crown (omg, YES). And when they flashed their tropical-themed Vans, I high-fived the both of them. Wearing comfy shoes should be a requirement on your wedding day, honestly. 

This was my second Oregon elopement in exactly 30 days and it really made me reflect on how much I’m thankful to get to do what I do — and what a perfect excuse for a fun road trip! All-in-all, this short & sweet ceremony was everything I love to photograph. Two people in love, holding hands, ready to tackle whatever life throws their way, as a team.
