an intimate, rooftop ceremony at hotel sorrento

I love the city. My childhood consisted of mostly flat countryside, farms + cows + chickens, logging trucks, and hay. LOTS OF HAY. But for the past 15 years, I’ve lived just outside of Seattle, and have loved being able to explore it. There are still SO MANY ASPECTS of it that I have yet to discover — it honestly fascinates this introvert, and I’ve learned that walking to wherever I’m going is my favorite way to see and take in all the scenery and vibes of downtown.

Soooo, when my sweet friend (and super talented photographer) Julia Kinnunen needed a 2nd photographer for this killer Seattle wedding, I was 100% on board. Julia’s the kind of person who’s so fun and easy to be around — every time I get to work alongside her, it really doesn’t feel like work at all. She’s just an all-around amazing human, so it’s no mistake that such fun couples seem to always find her.

These two tied the knot in a breathtaking rooftop ceremony at The Hotel Sorrento and incorporated some iconic city backdrops into their wedding portraits. This wedding was FULL of Seattle character and charm that truly made me swoon, and I felt so lucky to get to provide some alternative angles and tag along for the fun.
